Bright & Beautiful!

2013 is definitely going to be a year full of colour! With gorgeous coloured gowns on the catwalk and rainbow accessories everywhere, there’s no end of ways to bring some bold, bright colour into your wedding day.
If you’re not feeling brave enough to move away from a traditional white dress, why not choose bright, mismatched dresses for your bridesmaids?

These dresses look stunning when accessorized with different coloured bouquets and shoes for each bridesmaid!

Or how about a colourful bouquet for you?

Even the groom and groomsmen can have some fun with shoes or buttonholes!

Even simple parasols can be used to add a pop of colour!

Decorating a ceremony or reception space in this rainbow palette can be a challenge as you will want to avoid making it ‘tacky’ or overdone, but there are some really simple ways of creating a fun, colourful atmosphere...balloons, ribbons, paper lanterns and pinwheels are perfect for this...

Creative Backdrops

Planning your wedding is the perfect opportunity to get creative and express your personality. With such a variety of venues available today, the possibilities are endless when it comes to decorating your wedding space. So why not make it a unique day that all your guests will remember? It doesn’t need to be expensive, it just needs a little bit of imagination!
One of the best ways to make a statement is to design and create a feature backdrop. This can be used as a feature for your ceremony alter, behind the head table or guest book table, or even behind the cake or dessert table. It can be purely for decor or functional to hide something in your venue that maybe clashes with your colour scheme or style ideas (great for hiding ugliness in a room!!)
Making a gorgeous focal point makes sure that your guests are drawn to the areas that are most important to you so go BIG and make something that will wow them!
It can be as simple as a twinkle light backdrop..

Fabric, ribbon and paper are also perfect materials for creating something amazing! How about tissue pom poms, embroidery hoops or pinwheels?

If you’ve got plenty of time (and plenty of lovely friends and family willing to help!!) why not create a beautiful curtain of origami birds?

My absolute favourites are these stunning backdrops of giant paper flowers..
